A unique territory

Porto di Mola is located in a very special area, on the slopes of the Roccamonfina volcano and directs its glance on the Appia way. A magical place, rich in history, with a strong wine-growing vocation. The winery rises near an ancient Roman commercial port, found during an archaeological excavation in 1992, with inspired the name of the company. In this region, wine and oil were then transported in the ancient times and this tradition resides in the modern Porto di Mola.


THE ORIGINS

The project was born from an idea that Peppì Esposito and Antonio Capuano had, when they began to work on these lands in 1988. Over the years, Antimo Esposito, Peppì’s son, following the steps of the two founders, has been fond of the project, pursuing it with ardor and aiming to create wines of the best quality. Those dream and aspirations have become today a solid reality, which grows every day thanks to an international esport network.

TASTE OF TRADITION

The form covers amount 3000 ha, made up of vineyards, olive groves and large green areas. At the centre of the farm is located the cellar which measures 2000 sqm. This is where Antimo personally follows all the production. An oil mill has been added to the cellar, which cold presses the olives to preserve all the organoleptic characteristics of the oil.

The passion for tradition and the interest in technological innovation are today the guiding motivation of Porto di Mola. The production perfectly combines the natural treatment of grapes with constant oenological esperimentation, creating new products with exceptional organoleptic characteristics. Antimo Esposito believes in this project, whose historicity and modernity are told everyday to the visitors, to transmit all the secretes of a cutting-edge compan.
