Description
Over the years we have managed to identify our best Aglianico Amaro vineyard.
The selection of its best grapes, left on the vine until reaching optimal ripeness, gives life to our Contra del Duca reserve.
The winemaking takes place with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks and a part still in fermentation is tapped and placed in 500 liter oak barrels.
After approximately 12 months, the wines from fermentation in wood and fermentation in steel return together in 1000 liter oak barrels, where they continue their refinement for another 12 months.
Bottling, 30 months after the harvest, takes place without previous filtration and it is precisely in the bottle that Contra del Duca continues its evolution.
With a long-lived and austere character, this wine makes us proud and, with every sip, repays us for the efforts made to bring it into the world.
Excellent as a meditation wine, but also to accompany the more robust dishes of our cuisine, such as game, stews and meats in general.
